When you use SendLegalLetter, we collect the information you provide through our form, including your name, the opposing party's name, your U.S. state, dispute type, claimed amount, and a description of your situation. We also collect payment information processed through our payment provider (Paddle), though we do not store your full credit card details. We may collect basic usage data such as browser type and IP address for security and service improvement purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide solely to generate your demand letter and deliver it to you. Your information is stored in our database linked to your letter so that you can access and download your PDF after payment. We do not use your information for marketing, profiling, or advertising purposes. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

SendLegalLetter uses the following third-party services to operate:

  • Anthropic: Used to generate the demand letter text from the information you provide. Your form data is sent to Anthropic's API for this purpose.
  • Paddle: Used to process payments securely. Paddle handles your billing information in accordance with their own privacy policy.
  • Supabase: Used to store your letter data and payment status.
  • Vercel: Used to host and deliver the SendLegalLetter application.

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and data handling practices.

4. Data Retention

Your letter content and associated form data are stored in our database. We retain this data to allow you to access your letter and PDF download. We do not currently offer automated deletion of records, but you may contact us to request deletion of your data.

5. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted database access using service-role keys server-side only. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

6. Children's Privacy

SendLegalLetter is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of SendLegalLetter after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
